Academic Programs
NYFA Kazakhstan offers one-year programs designed to prepare students for real-world work in the film and entertainment industries. Intensive training helps students develop both their artistic and technical potential, equipping them to work on set, in the studio, or in production.
- Filmmaking
A hands-on course where you will master every stage of creating a film—from developing the idea and writing the script to filming, editing, and the final screening. The program includes: Short film projects; Masterclasses with directors; Personalized mentorship and support. Your graduation film will be a completed work, ready for your portfolio and festival submissions. - Screenwriting
Develop your storytelling skills for film and television. The program helps you find your unique voice, structure your narrative, create strong characters, and transform your ideas into a professional script ready for production. Students will work on several writing projects, which will be discussed and reviewed by peers during classroom workshops. - Producing
The program trains students in project management for film, advertising, and television. Students learn how to manage budgets, organize production crews, and handle the legal and financial aspects of production. By the end of the course, each student develops a personal producer’s portfolio or case file. - Game Design
This curriculum combines storytelling, design theory, game art, and programming with hands-on workshops and prototype development. Upon completion, students will have created a game concept or demo version of their own game. This is an intensive, full-time certificate program that introduces students to the core aspects of game development, including practical experience in design, coding, art, and collaborative teamwork. - 3D Animation & Visual Effects
Everything needed to build a career in CGI, special effects, animation, and computer graphics is included in this program. It covers modeling, rendering, work in professional software, and the creation of original visual narratives. With a practical, project-based approach, the program helps aspiring artists grow their skills in a creative and industry-relevant environment - Filmmaking (Russian-Speaking Group)
A practical course where you will master every stage of the filmmaking process—from concept and scriptwriting to shooting, editing, and the final screening. The program includes short film projects, masterclasses with directors, and personalized mentoring. Your graduation film will be a completed piece, ready for your portfolio and festival submissions.

Comfortable and Safe Accommodation
Students are provided with comfortable living conditions in designer apartments with access to the Esentai River and stunning mountain views.
Both single and double rooms are available in the residence, with the option for family accommodation. All units are fully equipped for comfortable living: a modern kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and oven, as well as a dishwasher and washing machine, are included as standard features.
NYFA organizes daily shuttle service from the residence to the campus in Kaskelen, ensuring students’ safety and comfort throughout their studies. Breakfasts and access to a fitness center are included in the accommodation fee, while 24/7 security and support provide an atmosphere of reassurance and care.
